Sun-starved Anchoragites are turning their faces to the sun, unfurling like new leaves, stretching in anticipation of the long days of summer. Ahh, springtime in Anchorage.

I love Anchorage. I love what it is, what it's been, and what I dream it will be. I share my adventures with DJ (my husband), my fabulous family and friends, two frenchies named Grover and Teddy, and now, all of you. If you love Anchorage too, get in touch - guest posts are welcome!

Gretchen, you left out the aroma of thawing dog poop! What would breakkup be with out that?
I was trying to be classy and call it “eau de dog poo,” but I should have just called it what it is – stinky old dog sh*t! It’s not springtime in Alaska without it!
