All Heart, All Class
Confession: I don’t really like watching most sports. I even have a limited attention span for the Olympics, but this year was different. This year, like many Alaskans, I was riveted by the U.S Women’s Ski Team and their history-making potential.

If you paid any attention to the Iditarod this year, you already know it was a brutal race. It was also the most exciting Iditarod that I can remember – the finish was SO CLOSE!

I have a new favorite read: Arctic Urbanophile, by Eric Van Oss. He describes his blog as “exploring the metropolitan offerings of Los Anchorage” and writes mostly about urban planning and local restaurants, with mountaintop adventures and cultural experiences thrown in for good measure.

Love Note: Chandeliers @ Killjoy
Speaking of ornamentation: Check out the dazzling chandeliers decorating the new Killjoy Tasting Room (more on them soon!). They make quite the bling-ey impact against the all black industrial ceiling and bring a feeling of opulent glam to the space. Love seeing all the different decor and design choices in Anchorage’s newly opened dining establishments and watering holes…
