A month and a half ago, my husband and I were invited to the Boys and Girls Club Gala. Of course we accepted – it was a fun group of people and for a great cause.
When I first started perusing Anchorage Craigslist and walking through thrift stores, I was too envious of the bargain finds I’d heard of in other states and too excited to furnish my home rightawayassoonaspossible to really enjoy the process.
I cut my hair!
More accurately, the lovely Diana at Marie’s Beauty Supply cut my hair. Marie’s provides free hair cuts to anyone who will donate their hair to Locks of Love.
Locks of Love helps disadvantaged children suffering from medical hair loss by creating high quality wigs out of donated ponytails.
I recently visited the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for the first time. I’ve always driven by and thought it was just for visitors who hadn’t yet gotten to see a moose. Boy was I wrong – it was so cool!
